SUNDAY EVENINGS: LIFE GROUPS

Courageous, biblically-based relationships empowered by grace that lead to transformational intimacy. This is the goal for community at OMPC, and Life Groups are a key way to experience this type of community. Typically, many groups meet on Sunday evenings during the R.O.C.K. (Rotation of Christ’s Kids: Sunday evening discipleship program), but other groups meet at varying times during the week. Contact Dax for more information, or fill out the interest form in the links below!

DISCIPLESHIP AT OMPC | SPIRITUAL GROWTH

One of the Measures for fulfilling our vision as a church is seeing Surprising Growth take place in the lives of all OMPC members. Surprising Growth is Christ-centered teaching, fellowship and discipleship that leads to loving the Lord with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength. To help see this Measure come to fruition, we currently offer the Gospel Waltz Journey and the Battle for the Heart Experience that fosters spiritual growth for individual believers in the context of a small group retreat and follow-up meetings.

Gospel Waltz Journey

The Gospel Waltz Journey is an intentional discipleship experience (based on the Gospel Waltz paradigm) that is designed to be a life-giving resource and an opportunity for community to help people move out of the darkness of isolation into the light of who God created them to be.

The journey is a foundational Gospel 101 study which includes an introductory 3-day retreat and a team-oriented 9-week follow-up path, which includes curriculum for individual reflection and teams to process together.

Repent. Believe. Fight. A common set of words heard around OMPC that we refer to as "The Gospel Waltz." This regular teaching that illustrates the balance of the gospel between the ditches of performance/legalism and cheap grace is now available as a spiritual growth opportunity. Through the Gospel Waltz Journey, men and women learn how to tune their ears to the music of gospel and see circumstances of life as God's pursuit of their hearts, changing the way they live in every aspect of life.

Battle for the Heart

How you live comes out of what’s happening in your heart. Your thoughts, feelings and desires – conscious or not – flow into your choices, which affect your entire life. The Battle for Hearts experience offers a series of retreats, devotionals, and team meetings for you and your team to encounter the heart of God and come to a transformational understanding of His design for our hearts. The Bible calls the heart a source of life – a wellspring. Few find it. But for those who do, a world of change is possible.

Men’s Scripture + Fellowship

Join Dax Gibson on Thursday mornings for a time of diving into Scripture using the Seeing Jesus Together Journal. Bring your Bible, journal, a pen and come ready to engage with the Word and in fellowship with other men from OMPC.

Each year, the OMPC Senior Leadership Team chooses a devotional or reading plan to encourage our congregation to spend daily time with the Lord and in His Word. For 2024, our church-wide “devotional plan” is a little different from years past! Instead of a devotional, we are using the Seeing Jesus Together Journal, which is a structured guide for individuals to use for the reading, praying through and application of God’s Word. In order to facilitate structure for the use of this journal, we have provided a church-wide Bible Reading plan that assigns New Testament and Psalms passages to each week for you to use as a guide. Click the button below to learn more, purchase a journal and access resources to go along with this 2024 church-wide reading plan!
