Good afternoon, Oak Mountain! What a privilege to be back home worshipping with you this week. Laurie and I had an incredible trip to Uganda where we spent time with our daughter, Hannah, and the Wheeler and Adams families, but it really is great to be back (except for maybe the weather. We left 85 degrees, and I’m afraid my blood thinned out a little over the past two weeks)!
I'm looking forward to telling a few "Bob Stories from Africa," and sharing more about how we can begin to pray more specifically about what God is doing in and through our missionaries there... So make sure you join us this Sunday!
This week, I am starting a new sermon series called, The Old Testaments Sings Amazing Grace. On Sunday, we’re starting in the “Big Inning” with Genesis, and then we’ll work our way through the Old Testament in the coming weeks. I am really excited about this series, so I hope you’ll join us at 8:15 am and 10:45 am for worship. Like every week, we’ll have Go to Grow Sunday School at 9:30 am, and if you can’t be with us, you will be able to stream the 10:45 am service live.
I hope you’ll join me in welcoming Jerram Barrs to Oak Mountain tomorrow night. We’ve been promoting this event for a couple of weeks, but make sure you click here to find out more. This is a great opportunity for our church and our community, so invite your friends and let’s be sure to give Jerram a warm, OMPC welcome. Have a great weekend, everybody.
