One couple in our church family, through Grace-Focused Life Coaching, realized that they could use their God-given design and gifts to make an impact. After benefitting from coaching, Bruce and Sheryl Heen were able to implement a specialized ministry plan. Sheryl pursued and obtained her Christian Life Coaching certificate through the American Association of Christian Counselors to start New Direction Coaching. She now helps women achieve their dreams by using the Career Direct Guidance System. Bruce, using his training as a Certified Public accountant, helps couples as a Finance Coach to develop spending plans for their family's finances. The Heen's are simply one example of many at OMPC who have found spiritual clarity in regards to their ministry calling through participating in this coaching process.
Grace-Focused Life Coaching taps into how the Father's grace abounds with transforming power to fuel every Christ-follower to make a Spirit-inspired difference for the Kingdom. Coaching is NOT telling you what to do; it IS drawing out in you what God has already put into your life. It is designed to leverage all that is in your heart for maximum Kingdom impact. A coach is a people developer who through a powerful questioning strategy seeks to show grace to all to help them implement in their lives the repent, believe, and fight aspects of the transforming power of God’s grace.
To engage in this equipping process to become a Grace-Focused Life Coach, please attend the following training offered by our Pastor for Shepherding, Ken Jones on Thursdays, November 19, and December 3, 10 and 17 from 10:00 am - noon in Room S-185. RSVP with Shelly Gentry.
