• Welcome to Oak Mountain

We hope you'll join us Sunday mornings at 8:15 am or 10:45 am for worship. Our worship style is contemporary, with a programming balance of praise songs and traditional hymns of the Church. Our message each week presents the gospel of grace as it relates to our salvation and to our relationships with God and each other. Sunday School classes meet each week at 9:30 am.

July Prayer Focus: Immanuel Counseling

Immanuel Counseling, founded and led by OMPC member Mike Williams, provides counseling support to individuals, groups or family within the context of the Gospel.

The Philosophy:

Because man is created in the image of God, neither human personality nor human problems can be sufficiently understood outside of man’s relationship with God. God alone provides man with value and intactness, meaning and satisfying fulfillment. Man’s problems, which are often complex, occur when he tries to respond to situations without depending upon his Creator. The Bible is God’s inspired and inerrant communication to man. The Scriptures tell us about our world, explain the origin and meaning of our existence, and show us how to live. The Bible reveals that God has solutions to all the difficult problems with face.

ICM provides help to individuals, groups or families for:

  • Marital difficulties
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Family Conflicts
  • Sexual issues
  • Gender identity
  • Ministry burnout

Further extensions of their services include teaching church groups, preaching in churches, and providing seminars on subjects that speak to the particular longings of people. Their fee schedule is based on a sliding scale in which clients are quoted fees based on their ability to pay.

Prayer Requests:

Pray that God would give Mike wisdom with each counseling session and bring life changing steps for the people he meets with. Pray that God would also bless Mike’s mentoring work and relationships.

Pray also that God will bless the new counseling outreach in the Fairfield community and provide the funding for this new endeavor that began in May. Counseling scholarships are greatly needed to underwrite the work.

Contact the Missions Office for more information on Immanuel Counseling or to contribute to the new counseling outreach in Fairfield.
