• Welcome to Oak Mountain

We hope you'll join us Sunday mornings at 8:15 am or 10:45 am for worship. Our worship style is contemporary, with a programming balance of praise songs and traditional hymns of the Church. Our message each week presents the gospel of grace as it relates to our salvation and to our relationships with God and each other. Sunday School classes meet each week at 9:30 am.

June Prayer Focus: Porchlight Ministries

INFORM: The purpose of Porchlight is to have a team to surround the foster and adoptive families of OMPC and help meet their practical needs. Pray for, supply meals as needed and to encourage with God's word as well as love them through difficult and exciting times. Porchlight is currently working on developing a team that will support the needs of our families. Calling the fostering families to find out their needs and status with children placement, taking meals to families as needed. (all is still being developed on a regular basis)

INSPIRE: The ministry’s vision is for each family fostering to have a lead contact person to share as needs arise. Then we will have a team in place to support those needs. There are several OMPC families who have already been blessed through Porchlight, receiving meals, N2N yard work, and prayer support.

ENGAGE: How can OMPC members get involved? There are multiple opportunities to help- they can volunteer to cook a meal, fold laundry, write a note of encouragement or make a phone call. Gifts to the children are always welcome.  Childcare is huge- they can also sign up for transporting children as needed to doctor appointment, court dates for family visits.

They can help also get involved by donating to The Big House in Pelham, whether with their time sorting clothes, donating clothes or money to help foster families get their immediate needs when a child is removed from home.

Also, in the fall on September 17 we are hosting a speaker Jason Johnson and really could use childcare as well as welcoming guests as we will have families not attending OMPC to visit.

ONGOING: Praying for a family and letting that family KNOW they are being prayed for is huge.
