• Welcome to Oak Mountain

We hope you'll join us Sunday mornings at 8:15 am or 10:45 am for worship. Our worship style is contemporary, with a programming balance of praise songs and traditional hymns of the Church. Our message each week presents the gospel of grace as it relates to our salvation and to our relationships with God and each other. Sunday School classes meet each week at 9:30 am.

Pray for Jonah & Jennifer

Imagine living in a city where proclaiming Christ is a death sentence, where reading your Bible in public is not allowed, and where you must meet in secret with other believers to find fellowship and encouragement. This is the reality for most of the Middle East, and OMPC has sent multiple missionary families to this region of the world to share and show grace there. What a sacrifice these families are making for the sake of Christ!

This month we are praying specifically for Jonah & Jennifer. They are originally from the Middle East and have served there for many years. If you were at the closing weekend’s service of the Global Missions Conference, you heard Jonah share about his ministry and some of the challenges of being on the field in a region of the world like the Middle East. But they hold strong to their faith and trust that God is bigger than the oppression they are facing in their ministry.

This month, Jonah and Jennifer have been in the southeast handling a few health and financial issues. Jennifer is facing several blocked arteries in her heart but is not eligible for open heart surgery because her heart is not in good condition. On top of that, they returned to the US in January to find that their entire life savings had been stolen from their bank through identity theft while they were out of the country. They are still trying to get to the bottom of this problem and have not yet recovered their funds.

God’s grace extends without borders through all the world. His grace is borderless, and His Gospel is powerful. Pray for grace to extend even to the Middle East!

Let's pray for Jonah & Jennifer this month and moving forward:

  • Pray for encouragement, strength and hope in the power of the Gospel to go forth through their churches and ministry in the Middle East.
  • Pray for the Middle East! For peace and openness to the Gospel among the people and also safety for the believers and churches there.
  • Pray for Jennifer’s health. Pray that her heart will be strengthened through the medications she is prescribed and that she will be able to return to her home in the Middle East and join those laboring for the sake of the Gospel there.
  • Pray for Jonah & Jennifer’s finances. Pray that the bank will prioritize their issue and work to recover the funds that were stolen last year.
