• Welcome to Oak Mountain

We hope you'll join us Sunday mornings at 8:15 am or 10:45 am for worship. Our worship style is contemporary, with a programming balance of praise songs and traditional hymns of the Church. Our message each week presents the gospel of grace as it relates to our salvation and to our relationships with God and each other. Sunday School classes meet each week at 9:30 am.

US Missions

US Missions efforts at OMPC are strategically focused in areas where we feel we can concentrate our resources–finances, time and relationships–to have maximum Kingdom impact. Where possible, we strive to collaborate with our denominational mission agency, Missions to North America, or other Reformed/PCA organizations. In addition, we invest significantly in our members who are called into ministries that fit within our core values and who have appropriate training, ministry experience and oversight.

Holistic Church Planting

Emphasis is given to ministries which foster church planting movements–a multiplication of churches that also have an emphasis on justice and mercy. In addition, we support church planting efforts first in the greater Birmingham area, then in Alabama, and finally in other areas of the US.

Campus Ministries

We support reformed campus ministries with priority given to schools in Alabama or nearby locations able to serve our members.

International Campus Ministries

Training and Discipleship

We focus on ministries which raise up and train pastors, campus ministers, other full-time workers, and lay-leaders. Other ministries include those which disciple believers into deeper relationship with Christ, restore areas of life ravaged by sin and brokenness, or equip the saints for service.

Mercy Organizations

We provide ongoing support to a few Gospel-centered, Christian agencies providing relief, support, and even life for those who are distressed and oppressed. These ministries to the underserved are done in the name of Christ, possibly opening doors for the Gospel through word and deed.

Here & Now

Monies that have been freed up through our debt reduction campaign, Here & Now, are strategically given toward Birmingham city initiatives that have distinctive justice and mercy components and a concern for racial reconciliation. Our desire is to impact our city HERE and NOW.

For more information on these ministries or to volunteer to serve with any of the above, contact the Missions Office.
