I am a missionary with a church planting team here in Sofia, Bulgaria. This Saturday night will be our first worship for our church plant! We are inviting all of our contacts and people the Lord has put on our hearts these last three years. We are very excited to finally start this. Please pray that our only expectation will be that the Holy Spirit will be present and He will move.

We are praising God that we will be adopting our 4-year old foster daughter soon! We are just waiting on an adoption date to be set by the court. Would you please pray the Father would raise up a Christian couple to adopt her brothers? They are 13 and 9-- right now they are still in foster care and will remain there until adopted. Also, please pray for these children's birth mom to know Him deeply through the grief of losing her children.

Our guest pastor in Sunday School asked us to pray for those who are persecuted for their Christian faith in India. The suffering church is growing in this country - pray for protection, peace, strength, and the success of the gospel. Also, pray for the raising up of pastors for church planting. Praising God for many who are coming to Christ!

My father passed away this morning apparently in his sleep. He was 86. He will be cremated in AZ and returned to Illinois after that. We ask your prayers as we don't know about his faith. We ask that God guide the family through the coming days as we process and deal with this. Keep us safe as there will likely be travel .

Please pray for the salvation of my niece's husband. David is from the Czech Republic and totally closed to Christianity. Please pray the scales will fall from his eyes; that he will see the light of Jesus; that he will come to understand that God can heal all the wounds from growing up in a communist country. I have talked with him about Jesus, but his response was "I okay Aunt Janie. I not need this." I gave him a Bible several years ago in the Czech translation.

I am very burdened for him, how this is affecting Meredith and his 3 beautiful boys. Thank you.

My mother is being put on hospice today (January 23). Her resperation is lower, and she's been on oxygen since her hospitalization last year. She is running a fever, and the staff is pretty sure she has pneumonia. We are getting an x-ray to make sure.

Be in prayer for her and our family as we tackle this leg of the journey. She has been surprisingly resiliant over the years, and who knows what her body will do. We look to the Lord, as always, to supply our lack. And we have plenty of lack--but HE has plenty of supply...bless the name of the Lord! He is mighty to save and is always present in our midst, a mighty warrior! King of kings, Lord of Lords!

In Christ alone, Linda
