The Mustard Seeds Ministry at OMPC provides a loving and supportive environment through a team of well-instructed buddies for each person impacted by a special need.

Check in through the Oak Kids Check-in Lobby iPads, or head straight to the Nursery Desk, which is located in between the Gym Lobby and the Coffee Bar. A member from our team will assist you in getting your special needs individual paired with a buddy and to our Mustard Seeds Room.

Mustard Seeds is provided during all three morning services/class times: 8:15, 9:30 & 10:45 am

Sunday Mornings

In the Fall and Spring, our Children’s Ministry offers the "R.O.C.K.” (Rotation of Christ’s Kids). Mustard Seeds is also offered during this time. Drop off begins at 5:15 pm and pick up is at 7:00 pm. Mustard Seeds meets in the same room as Sunday Mornings.

Special Programming

The TOPSoccer program is designed to foster the physical, mental and emotional growth of kids with special needs through soccer.  The program is open to individuals aged 4 years and up with any physical or mental disability.  We'll gather 4 Saturday mornings where each player will have a buddy (volunteer) and enjoy doing soccer drills and activities together & as a group.

Our hope at Oak Mountain is that kids (and families) in our community will experience the fun of soccer, personal growth, new friendships and the grace-filled love of Jesus Christ.

  • Groups will be formed based on player needs and not necessarily by age.

  • Each player will be paired with a Buddy.

    • Buddies must be 12 years of age or older.

    • Buddies are encouraged to commit to all 4 sessions.  This is to help the player to be me more comfortable with their buddy.

    • Volunteers 18 and older will be required to fill out a background check.

Ages:  Individuals aged 4 years and up
Player Cost:  $25
Days / Times:  Saturdays, September 19 & 26, October 3 & 17 from 9:00-10:00 am
Location:  OMPC Lower Field (5080 Cahaba Valley Trace, 35242)
