SHEPHERDING & CARE MINISTRY

The Shepherding model at OMPC is a process where every member is assigned a shepherding elder who will periodically check in on how each family is doing. This model helps ensure that all the flock of OMPC is known and seen as part of the church.

The Pastoral Care ministry at OMPC offers a comprehensive array of Christ-centered ministries and care regimes, designed to advance the emotional, psychological, relational and spiritual health of those who participate (Galatians 6:1-10). Check out our recommendations for Grace-Driven Recovery & Resources. Our Pastoral Care Team is a care-giving ministry for fellow brothers or sisters in Christ who are facing a difficult time. If you need help, please contact a member of our team.

If you are in immediate crisis, please call the National HELP HOTLINE: 1-800-273-TALK (8255).

DEACONS at OMPC

Deacons are called by God to serve in a formal capacity that puts them in the forefront of ministering to our congregation, our community and to the world. This is done by being active examples of how to love others well and by leading our congregation in the same manner. Mercy and service are our primarily goals. We have other responsibilities including maintaining the church facilities, and providing protection oversight. We want our emphasis to be on serving and see that flowing through staff-led direction in the various ministries.

Shepherding & Pastoral Care Inquiry Form

Compassion Groups seek to be places of community and support in the midst of particular struggles or circumstances. We can easily feel alone in our struggles, and walking with others in similar situations can be how God provides fresh encouragement and compassion to you and through you. Compassion Groups currently being offered through OMPC. OMPC hosts Compassion Groups in the Fall and Spring.
