OVER THE MOUNTAIN
SERVE OVER THE MOUNTAIN
The Mission of OMPC is engaging every neighbor with the surprising power of grace. That looks beyond our local neighbors and “Over the Mountain” to those in Birmingham! We partner with several urban programs, initiatives and churches to foster and deepen relationships and provide opportunities for racial reconciliation across the city of Birmingham. Check out opportunities below and ways to get involved.

Royal Divinity Ministries is a non-profit organization near Fairfield that promotes healthy living and provides opportunities for social, economic, and educational advancement for those in need. They run a food bank that has become a place where families can find help. Since 2015, Royal Divinity Ministries has served families in Wylam by providing bakery items, produce, and other food. Before COVID, the ministry fed an average of 1,400 people a month; today, they serve around 1,400 people a WEEK! We aim to partner with Royal Divinity Ministries by providing volunteer assistance to encourage and strengthen their efforts.

Each year, 9000 women in Alabama believe abortion is the only solution to an unplanned pregnancy. Sav-A-Life, Inc is the largest pregnancy care center in the Birmingham metropolitan area, with three locations in Vestavia, Crestwood, and Fultondale. It is dedicated to ending abortion, not by legal and public policy, but by supporting one woman at a time to spare her and her child from abortion.
We work to accomplish this goal by offering free and confidential services, counseling, education, and support to empower women to carry their babies to term.
